Facebook buys Oculus VR for $ 2.000 million

Facebook announced Tuesday that it has reached an agreement to purchase Oculus VR , the maker of virtual reality goggles Oculus Rift , for U.S. $ 2,000 million, including $ 400 million in cash and 23.1 million shares of Facebook, worth about U.S. $ 1,600 million based on the recent price action .
The social network would buy Oculus VR with the "mission of allowing experience the impossible . Their technology opens the possibility of a completely new kinds of experiences," said Mark Zuckerberg , CEO of Facebook, the Facebook blog .
Facebook recently acquired messaging application WhatsApp for U.S. $ 19,000 million and above has focused on the purchase of software companies. With this purchase , the picture changes a bit , since it is the first time that Facebook buys a technology that focuses primarily on the hardware.
