Bill Clinton was the first U.S. president who send an email from a Toshiba Satellite Pro, which he has been put up for auction by RR Auction house.
According to information from the owner of RR Auction, the first email ever sent by an American president was one that Bill Clinton wrote to John Glenn while the latter was in space during STS-95 NASA mission.
Aboard the Discovery spaceship, November 6, 1998, President Clinton sent to Glenn an email that said, "This is indeed a first experience for me, writing a president from space, and may be the first time you receive an email from a spaceship. "
On November 7, 1998, Clinton responded: "Hillary and I had fun much at launch." "We are very proud of you and the entire crew-and a little jealous."
